Apple to launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th

Earlier this month, Apple (AAPL) began slashing prices of the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 in India in preparation for the iPhone 5. According to BGR sister site BGR India, the Apple will launch its latest flagship smartphone in India on October 26th. Apple is said to be handling the distribution process for the new device, as well as the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4.

Apple Buddies Up With Cheaper Wireless Partners for iPhone

Sprint said the iPhone would become available this month on Virgin Mobile USA, its service for prepaid plans, where customers pay for the service as they use it. The cost will be considerably less than the fees contract customers pay monthly to use an iPhone — once you get past the upfront price of the phone itself.

iPhone 4S top selling phone on America’s three largest carriers
