Peter Aloisson has already had an obsession with phones, and jewelery. So he decided to bling out his iPhone, he named it the “Princess Plus”. The iPhone has 17.5 karats of diamonds which are set in 18 karats of white gold around the edge of the iPhone. Doing these mods to the iPhone pushed the price of it up to 120,000 EUR, or $176,400 making it the worlds most expensive iPhone.

Japanese government officials, are investigating a defect that caused an Apple iPod to “shoot out” sparks whilst it was been recharged, this was reported on Wednesday.
The ministry is categorizing this incident as a fire, however luckily noone was hurt. Apple are now also been ordered to find out the cause of the incident, and report back to the government about it.
Incase you are wishing to know the model number, it was “MA099J/A” and around 425,00 of those models were shipped into Japan around September, 2006.
Apple Inc. was sued Wednesday regarding the iTunes music store, and iPod music players which are apparently using patented method for distributing media around the internet.
Zap Media (The company suing) wants royalties on Apple’s saled of iPods, and iTunes music, which reached a massive 11 billion dollars last year.
The patents in question cover a way of sending music/digital content from servers to multi-media players (iPods).
Zap Media applied for the patents back in 1999, the first one was granted in March 2006, and the second one on Tuesday.
Robert Frohwein, ZapMedia’s general counsel, had this to say in a statement,
“When someone takes our vision and our intellectual property without a license after several attempts, we have no option but to protect it through every means available to us.”
An Apple spokesman has said the company does not wish to discuss pending lawsuits.

If for whatever reason you wish to know what version your iPhone is but are not really sure, just read this and it will provide you with some quick help.
1) Press the Home button
2) Then press the Settings button
3) Now press General
4) Now go to About
5) Look for “Version:” after that, it will have a bit of text, but we are only interested in the first 3 numbers, it will say something like 1.1.2, 1.1.3. If yours says 1.1.2 you have firmware, same deal with if it says 1.1.3 or something else.
Enjoy!
I found this on YouTube today, quite an old video but still pretty cool and amazing, if you have a bit of spare time, be sure to watch it.
During the recent Apple/iPhone event, Apple announced a brand new application called the “App Store”. The name is pretty self-explanatory, it will allow users to download applications to their iPhone, much like installer.app that has been going around prior to the SDK.
Heres a direct quote from Steve jobs speaking about App Store,
“The App Store is going to be the exclusive way to distribute iPhone applications,” Jobs says. “We think we’ve got a great business deal for developers.” Developer picks the price. Developer gets 70% of the revenues right off the top. We keep 30%. No credit card fees for developers. No hosting fees. No marketing fees. “And it’s paid monthly,” Jobs says. “This is the best deal going to distribute applications in the mobile space.”
More importantly, all these applications can be downloaded free of charge. There are a few limitations in place for App Store such as applications involving porn, bandwidth hogging, malicious and illegal.
A researcher at Osaka University in Japan has developed a device that will allow people to control their iPod music player with their eye winks. If your wondering what the name of this device is, it’s called the KomeKami Switch, or Temple Switch, the gadget uses infrared sensors and a mini computer to detect differences in the movement of your skin when you wink!
