iPhone SDK: Apple to limit add-ons, approve apps
There have been lots of reports on various news sites and other iphone blogs that Apple will be releasing a bunch of limitations on application development and distribution. The most controversial aspect of the SDK plan is its intention to approve or disapprove all SDK-based software for the iPhone and iPod Touch. iTunes is apparently going to play a massive part of this as well, with a massive directory of approved software/apps available for download via the store.
So to simplify it a bit: iTunes Store will act as a hub, Apple will be the application picker and there will be No accessory connectivity.
Under the current plans, developers will be prevented from interfacing with the Dock-Connector based accessories connected to the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Keep a look out on the site for more frequent news as it comes available.
